That means when I paint a line with it instead of a nice smooth line it has gaps in it where the bristles have split.Going to try and get it back with this stuff. Gum Arabic is the base for the pigments in watercolors, at least most of them. I read a tip that you can also use it to shape the bristles of a split brush back into position again. Then you wait a couple of days wash it off and see what happens. Meantime, I’ve ordered two more of my favorite brushes. There is no such thing for an artist as too many brushes.
